Strategy
The fund invests in CHF denominated bonds, notes and other fixed or variable-rate debt instruments and rights issued by private, public-private and public-sector borrowers worldwide, as well as in other investments permitted under the fund contract. The aim of the fund is to achieve a consistent return by having a balanced risk diversification.
Management commentary
In May, CHF interest rates steepened, with short-term yields lower and long-term yields slightly higher. CHF swap spreads were largely stable. Credit spreads tightened modestly, driven by foreign issuers. Lower-rated segments outperformed higher-rated ones, and sectors including healthcare, financials, and utilities saw notable tightening. The fund's absolute performance was positive, driven by falling government bond yields. The relative fund performance was positive due to corporate bond overweight and underweight in Pfandbriefe.
